Summer brings more than vacations, barbeques, and long balmy nights. It also means sweaty skin, sunburn, more oil and more breakouts. The heat and humidity doesn't always change our skin for the better.

But everyone has a favorite summer skin care trick that helps make this season more tolerable. What do you do to control oily shine? How do you protect your skin from the sun, without making your acne worse? What's the best summer moisturizer, toner, or makeup? Share your best beat-the-heat skin care tips!

How Do You Beat the Heat?

Hat AND sunscreen even when cloudy!

I finally found products that work on my adult acne (30% gly wash 2x/week and 25% gly cream nightly). To stay on track, I use tear-free (alcohol-free) spray sunscreen-I wear tanning goggles to protect my eyes. Slap on a hat! Decorate a sombrero, use those baseball caps that are ubiquitous! Your skin (and hair) will improve with the protection. Just 'cuz we have pimples doesn't mean we don't merit tlc! Watch your skin improve!

Switch to a Foaming Cleanser

I have had adult acne on and off since my early twenties. Now that I'm a bit older, my skin isn't nearly as oily but I still get pimples. Usually I use a cream cleanser that keeps my skin from getting too dry. But during the summertime I find that my skin is oilier and really benefits from using a foaming acne wash. It pulls away extra oil and makes my skin feel much better. So from June to August I always use a foaming cleanser.
