About The Pimple Clinic 3-Step Acne Treatment Program:
In a sea of girly acne treatment products, here's a three-step acne program that boys will especially gravitate toward. And with names like "Killer Cleanser" and "Tonacious Toner," it's no wonder.
Similar to Proactiv, The Pimple Clinic Program consists of three products: a cleanser, toner, and treatment lotion. The products are available over the counter, so you do not need a prescription.
Although any acne-sufferer could benefit from this product, it's definitely marketed toward teens. The sleek bottles and hard-core names make these products interesting to the tween and teen set. Plus, they promise to "kick acne's butt" -- it says so right on the bottle.
All kidding aside, the products do contain some serious acne medication, namely benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid.
This system will be a best fit for those with mild to moderate acne. Those with more severe breakouts should see a doctor rather than trying to clear acne with OTC products.
The usage directions suggest a twice daily application. Using this program in conjunction with other acne medications or drying skin care products can cause irritation and dryness. Also, don't start on this program if you're using a prescription acne treatment without talking your dermatologist first.
This product isn't available at your local store, but it can be purchased online. The individual products are also sold separately, so you don't have to purchase the entire kit if you so choose.
For those who are overwhelmed by the many OTC acne treatment choices, a complete program like The Pimple Clinic takes the guesswork out of choosing products.
