  • This moisturizer also gives you your daily sun protection (a must if you're using photosensitizing acne treatments!)
  • It's very gentle, and not likely to sting skin chapped and dried by acne treatments.
  • It's fairly light, especially considering it contains sunscreen.

  • It feels the slightest bit greasy when first applied, although it absorbs fairly quickly.
  • If you have very dry skin, it may not feel quite moisturizing enough.

TreSkinRX Triple Defense Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15 Guide Review:

I certainly don't have to tell you how hard it is to find a good moisturizer when you're prone to acne. And finding one that also gives you sun protection is even harder.

But the TreSkinRX Triple Defense Daily Moisturizer fits the bill fairly nicely. It's a lightweight moisturizer containing SPF 15.

While most moisturizers list water as the first ingredient, TreSkinRX Triple Defense Moisturizer has aloe vera as the base instead. Traditionally, aloe vera has been used to soothe skin irritations. This doesn't inherently make it better than other moisturizers on the market, but it sure does up the perceived value.

And it is super gentle on the skin. In fact, that's probably the biggest benefit of this moisturizer. If your skin is irritated, this moisturizer would be a good choice. It didn't sting my skin (even after an unfortunate exfoliating mishap that left my face a bit sensitive.)

I also liked the silky feel of the moisturizer. Don't let the initial consistency fool you. It definitely looks thick and heavy, but you'll be surprised how quickly it absorbs once you start massaging it into the skin. It does feel just a bit greasy at first (you know, that typical "sunscreen" feel.) But just give it a minute or so and it disappears into the skin. When it does, the skin feels really soft and smooth. In fact, it felt almost like I wasn't wearing a moisturizer at all (which is a good thing when I'm having one of those oily skin days.) On those days when my skin felt ultra-dry, though, this moisturizer was just the tiniest bit too light. So, if you have super dry skin, it may not be quite emollient enough.

The scent is very light and clean smelling. It reminds me a bit of Dove soap.

I'd think adults with acne will most appreciate this moisturizer. Although it's not inexpensive, it's far less than you could spend on many name brand moisturizers sold at department stores and salons. And a little bit does go a long way. Just a dime sized amount was more than ample for the face and neck.

For someone looking for a lightweight moisturizer/sunscreen combo that won't aggravate skin irritations and acne, this is a good, gentle option.
