As one year draws to a close and a new one begins, I always like to take a few moments to reflect on everything that has enriched my life. One of the biggest: all of you. I am truly grateful for all of my readers, for those of you I've gotten to know through email or the forum, for all of you that just take the time to read the blogs and articles I post on About.com's Acne site.
I sincerely hope that the information you've found on this site helps you in some small way. And I pledge to work even more diligently this new year bringing you the best information to help you get your skin where you want it to be.
I hope that this year, you feel more confident. My wish is that you can leave behind the self-consciousness and insecurities that may be holding you back. Your skin is just a small part of who you are, and it's far from the most important part.
Of course, I earnestly hope that this is the year you find the right treatment, the one that is going to help get your skin under control. I know what it feels like to struggle with acne. You're not alone. Your acne can improve, and this can be the year you see it!
Most of all, I wish that this year, you can look in the mirror and smile! Not because your skin is "perfectly" clear (although I definitely wish that for you too!) but because you're a great person and you deserve to feel great about yourself.
Happy New Year, to all of my dear readers! You've blessed my life in countless ways, and for that I'm thankful. Here's to a happy, healthy, fabulous 2013!
