It's National Healthy Skin Month

November is National Healthy Skin Month. Take a few minutes to do something nice for your skin. Some ideas:

  • Pamper your skin with a facial. You can either have one done by an esthetician at a local day spa or give yourself a facial at home.
  • Get skin care products your skin loves. Is the cleanser you're using too drying? Is the moisturizer too oily? You may be aggravating your skin and making acne worse. Make sure your products actually fit your skin. (These articles can help: How To Choose the Right Cleanser and How To Choose the Right Moisturizer.)
  • Make an appointment with a dermatologist. This is the best thing you can do for your skin! Prescription medications can help clear up acne, even if the over-the-counter products haven't worked for you. For Healthy Skin Month, there's no better gift.
