Years ago, when I still worked at a day spa, one of the most popular treatments was microdermabrasion. Everyone wanted a microdermabrasion treatment done.

Problem was, many people had an inflated view of what microdermabrasion could actually do. Sure, it's a great treatment with many benefits. But it's not a miracle cure for every skin problem.

Before having a treatment done, make sure you have realistic understanding of the benefits of microdermabrasion (yes, it can help improve mild acne; no, it won't treat deep acne scars.) That way, you'll be pleased with the results, rather than disappointed the treatment didn't fulfill your expectations.

I have always been curious about microdermabrasion and my mom and I have seriously considered it for my scarring. I offer advice, tips, and tidbits on my YouTube channel TalkingAboutAcne and my blog http://www.talkingaboutacne.com.

It is always better to explain the clients about microdermabrasion before they are having the treatment, so the are happy after getting the treatment.
