How Do You Feel About Celebrity Endorsements?

By , About.com GuideNovember 23, 2009

Follow me on:

Hayden Panettiere got in with Neutrogena Skin ID. Twillight's Michael Welch narrated a never-been-done-before Aczone musical. Who hasn't seen Jessica Simpson Proactiv commercials? And word has it Mandy Moore is all set to be Proactiv's next It Girl.

Some celebs really do struggle with breakouts (after all, they have skin just like us normal folks.) But how do you really feel about celebrities lending they're image to acne treatment products?

I feel a Celebrity does has some effect, but more is to do with the creative execution of the commercials/brand, the goodwill of the product or its company also plays a major role.

The psychological impact of acne is often greater than physical damage. That is why all four of my teenage daughters use Skincerity. This is the greatest thing on the market right now for curing Acne fast. Applied in seconds at bedtime Skincerity is every teens answer to great clear skin.

I think that celebrity endorsements regarding skincare products are quite beneficial, especially with teenagers. The media portrays skin to be clear and blemish free, and we all know that is impossible. Celebrities are no exemption to this rule and when people read about Jessica Simpson’s acne breakouts and how Angelina Jolie has blemishes without her make-up on, let us realize that we all are on the same level ground regarding skin care and routines. Skin care routines are important to follow through with, facial scrubs at least twice a day followed by your favorite moisturizer can definitely show the effects you are looking for in time. There is no quick fix, and skin care involves commitment and patience.

Seems most of these things are for the $. I think it is okay if the person really has a tie to the product or whatnot… or if he or she feels strongly to something.
