Homemade Acne Remedies
I've been getting a lot of questions lately about homemade acne treatments. Maybe it's because of the economy, people are looking for ways to save money. Or maybe because many people are trying to incorporate natural treatments into their everyday lives. Whatever the reason, it's a question that comes up a lot.
It seems everyone has their favorite home remedy for treating acne. Many people swear by milk of magnesia masks. Others recommend
tea tree oil, toothpaste, or baking soda.
My personal favorite are oatmeal masks. They're super easy to make, and inexpensive too. Just throw a handful of uncooked oats into a blender for 30 seconds or so, until you have a nice powder.
Then, mix with warm water until you get a creamy consistency. Add a pinch of dried chamomile or lavender and you have an oatmeal mask that rivals store bought products. Let set on the face for ten minutes and rinse off. Your skin will feel soothed and cleansed.
But are homemade treatments effective? I suppose the answer is yes and no. If you're looking to treat just an odd pimple here and there, you may find these remedies help.
Anything more than mild breakouts and you'll need a treatment medication, whether it's an over-the-counter salicylic acid or more powerful prescription creams.
Do home remedies really work, or are they a waste of time? Share your thoughts in the

The problem with most homemade acne cures is that there is no acne cure that works for everyone. It best to try different things
The all time best is a superfood mask. Nettles, kale, chard, and assorted greens mixed in a blender with apple cider vinegar and put on. Or just nettles–in tea, tincture, or fresh form. It is the single best acne remedy I have ever found.
