We've all seen ads for products proclaiming to cure acne in just three days! I'll admit I've tried more than my share of these "miracle cures." Like many people struggling with acne, I was desperate to find something to clear my skin. And I wanted it fast!
But did I set myself up for disappointment? Is there really a cure for acne?I never did find a product that cleared my acne overnight. It takes time and often lots of trial and error before finding the treatment or combination of treatments that works best for you. Personally, my acne improved with topical benzoyl peroxide used in conjunction with oral contraceptives. The most effective treatments for your skin may differ completely. With time, patience, and the right treatments you can control your acne, even if it takes a bit longer than three days.
