November is National Healthy Skin Month

Friday November 2, 2007

The American Academy of Dermatology has designated November as National Healthy Skin Month. What better way to celebrate than by learning more about your skin and how to care for it?

Whether your acne is a recent development or you have been dealing with it for years, now is the perfect time to begin treatment. To successfully control your acne:

  • Use proven acne medications. There are many treatment options available to help clear acne breakouts.
  • Take good care of your skin, every day. Don't underestimate the importance of daily skin care!
  • See a dermatologist, if needed. If acne isn't clearing after several weeks of treatment with over-the-counter products, or if you just need advice, put in a call to your dermatologist. He or she will be able to guide you toward the most appropriate acne medications for your skin.

By adhering to a good treatment regimen and taking time to care for your skin every day, you will be well on your way to healthy skin.
