I was one of those lucky few that sailed through high school with rarely a pimple. Imagine my surprise when I developed inflamed acne as an adult! I was even more surprised to learn that I wasn't alone in my fight against acne.

Adult onset acne is more common than you might think. The American Academy of Dermatology reports many people develop acne for the first time in their 20's, 30's and 40's. Why does adult onset acne appear?
