Photodynamic Therapy - The Future of Acne Treatments

Earlier this year, at the 65th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Amy Taub hailed light therapies as "…the first new therapies to treat acne in more than 20 years." Studies have shown photodynamic therapy (PDT) successful in treating inflammatory acne. For those who suffer from moderate to severe cystic acne, this comes as very good news.

Could photodynamic therapy be the wave of the future when it comes to treating acne?
